I have also found that according to certain forum posts, Prime mr2 does a turbo upgrade like this where they also modify the exhaust side of the turbo? according to dyno charts I've seen it looks like their upgrade has the biggest increase in power but I cant find anywhere on their website where they're listed. is it because the OEM wastegate set up is more likely to slowly seep open before the desired pressure where it fully opens? like the billet wastegate actuator keeps it fully closed rather than opening gradually? is this because the billet parts are more rigid and like dont flex as much or something? but the wastegate actuator sort of confuses me. I think my understanding of the compressor wheel is that at higher rpm's, a larger compressor wheel will allow the turbo to move a larger volume of air while maintaining the same actual pressure. I'm a little confused about how upgrading these parts would increase horsepower while maintaining the same boost pressure. I'm gen4 swapping my sw20 and i've read a lot of people talking about how helpful it is to upgrade to a billet compressor wheel as well as a billet wastegate actuator.
